Honors college students will complete four semesters of the Honors Forum classes as
well as two Honors courses per semester.
Honors Course Requirements
The Honors College includes an advanced curriculum that students must meet to graduate
with an Honors College distinction.
- Complete four contiguous fall/spring semesters of at least fifteen hours each, including
the Honors Forum.
- Be enrolled in 2 honors courses per semester including the Honors Forum.

University parallel courses for academic degree programs included in a student's major
of study may be approved for Honors credit, the subject to the approval of the Vice
President of Instruction, the Division Chair for that subject, and Honors Coordinator.
Any course designated an Honors course, other than the required Honors Forum classes,
must be no fewer than three credit hours.
**African American History may be used to satisfy the core curriculum history requirement.
